ALL IN A SYMPHONY OF NATURE
Starting in Mombasa, you’ll visit the four national parks closest to this unique coastal town and end your holiday at the beach.
The first two stops of your adventure will be the green hills of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and the community-led Lumo Conservancy. Here you’ll make your first wildlife encounters – from elephants and lions to zebras and giraffes. With big smiles you’ll then head to Tsavo West National Park to discover all of its hidden and less hidden gems. In Amboseli National Park you can marvel at huge herds of elephants (with a little luck you’ll see some supertuskers) roaming the grounds in front of Mount Kilimanjaro – motives you have to capture for eternity! The last two safari-days you’ll spend searching for the Big Five in the immense Tsavo East National Park, before you’ll relax on one of Africa’s most beautiful beaches – Diani Beach – for four whole days. Bliss!

As you step out of Moi International Airport, your personal Embari Tours & Safari driver greets you with a big smile: ‘Karibu Kenya – welcome to Kenya!’. He takes you straight to your hotel, while you take in the first images of the vibrant city of Mombasa. From the old ruins of Fort Jesus to the white sand beaches of the turquoise-blue Indian Ocean, Mombasa is a dream destination. Your paradise vacation in Kenya has just started!
The Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and LUMO Conservancy are two smaller parks between the giants Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Park. They offer unique game drives at night and, due to their proximity, they can be easily combined. During a safari here expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and antilopes, among other species, as well as over 300 bird species. In the nearby Taita Hills you can also spot Kenya’s rarest (and most threatened) birds: the Taita Apalis, the Taita White-eye and Taita Thrush.
Tsavo West National Park is full of stars you want to get in front of your lens. From the Big Five to the big stars of the flora and fauna – you’ll meet them all when discovering the national park itself and the unique Mzima Springs.
Tsavo West National Park is a park that shows a diverse and remarkable nature with, for example, the Mzima Springs, the Shetani Lava Flows and the Chaimu crater. With its 9,065 square kilometres, this is one of Kenya’s largest national parks, and four of the Big Five can be seen roaming freely here. Besides, you fairly easily spot regulars like giraffes, zebras, antelopes, gerenuks and many different species of birds, all between the green hills, acacia forests, savannah, natural springs and huge lava rocks from nearby volcanos.
Mzima Springs in Tsavo West National Park is a series of four natural springs of crystal clear water gushing out from underneath the dry lava rock. This two-kilometre-long stream is a heavenly pool for hippos and crocs, who come here to cool down. You need to be lucky, but if they are there, you can watch them from above or through a window in an underwater tunnel below the spring. The super clear water allows you to see every tumble and turn – a joy to watch!
Today you can not only marvel at Amboseli’s highlights from up close (we only say supertuskers, lions, and lava rocks), but also from above: Observation Hill spoils you with a 360-degree view which is truly unique in this world.
Discover the mesmerizing Amboseli National Park, a true wildlife haven at the foot of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. The national park on the border with Tanzania offers sweeping savannahs, impressive lava rocks and shimmering swamps, creating an ideal habitat for large herds of elephants, graceful lions, a staggering variety of bird species and many more animals. Shoot them all (with your camera, of course!) with the mighty Kili in the background – an amazing sight!

Kenya’s oldest park opens its gates for your safari! Encounter the crème de la crème of African wildlife and take in the stunning view from Mudanda Rock
With over 13,000 square kilometres, Tsavo East National Park is huge, impressive, and, since it was founded in 1948, old. Cruise the outstretched savannah of the Yatta Plateau with its large groups of red elephants, and observe some of the last remaining supertuskers and maneless lions. Listen to the famous story of the man-eating lions, while keeping your eyes peeled for an amazing amount of other animals; four of the Big Five (minus rhinos) together with dik-diks, zebras, giraffes, yellow baboons, cheetahs, African wild dogs, elands, gazelles, gerenuks, hyenas, jackals, and over 500 species of birds!
This is your chance to get out of the car and take a hike – to the top of Mudanda Rock that is! This huge rock of 1.6 kilometres long dates back to the Stone Age, and is said to be a runway for the gods. The story goes that in the past, local tribes used it to dry their elephant meat (!). From its summit, you have a magnificent view of the Yatta Plateau (the most prolonged cooled lava flow in the world), the open savannah grasslands, the wildlife drinking from the water catchment below and the yellow baboons and vervet monkeys enjoying the sun on the rock itself.
It’s now time to rest by the ocean! After your last game drive in Tsavo East National Park, you hop on the road to reach the outstretched and white beaches of Diani, the perfect location for beach holidays. Longing for a tropical island retreat? Then step it up to platinum and stay on Pride in Hotel– just off the coast, it offers an amazing design hotel that pampers to all your needs.
